In the late 1940s, John Francis Warmoll (Jock), together with his wife Lola Mary Warmoll, founded JF Warmoll & Co. This business marked the beginning of their agricultural enterprise, which still operates in the grain and grazing sector. The family acquired an extensive cropping and grazing property at Breeza, in the fertile Liverpool Plains, and their sons David and Phillip joined the business in the 1970s. Specific irrigation plans were designed to maximise water use efficiency, enabling them to grow soybeans, cotton and maize.
Building on the success of mixed cropping, a livestock property called Big Jack’s Creek was purchased in Willow Tree, New South Wales. The property is located in the beautiful Great Dividing Range, known for its temperate climate and consistent rainfall. Over the next eight years, the family continued to develop a thriving cattle business raising Black Angus. In 1991, brothers David and Phillip began crossbreeding their Black Angus herd with the famous Tajima Wagyu bulls from Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
